I may be crazy
I’ve decided to give it a go this morning. I don’t usually like trading on Friday, but I’d really like to close out the week positive.
It looks like it’s all about Brexit this morning. GBP pairs are WAY down (over 200 pips), and getting into them may be difficult, or it may be too late. I’ve got pending trades on GBPUSD and GBPJPY.
The EURUSD is also down, though not as much. I’m in that short on a pullback above the previous candle. And, on the next candle, that stopped out for <8.1> I had to pull the pending orders on GBPUSD and GBPJPY because prices had moved far enough that, in order to hit the pending order, it would mean a change over candle. In fact, a few minutes later, the GBPUSD did become a changeover. Followed a few minutes later by the GBPJPY. Now let’s wait for exhaustion.
Entered GBPJPY after the next candle formed an exhaustion. But was stopped out for <12.2>. Currently down <20.3> and flat. Still stalking, especially for break outs. Still no exhaustion on the GBPUSD as the USD continues to slip.
Finally peaking, the GBPJPY turned back to the downside, and I took a re-entry at the next PATI level, 147.20. And it promptly turned back and stopped me out. That’s twice, and I’m done with it. Now flat and down <32.3>. Turning very ugly. But the GBP looks like it still has some legs down. Looking to get into the GBPUSD after the next candle.
Never made it in. It never pulled back to the yellow line. I think I’m going to have to call it for today and accept a losing day. Down <32.3> (-1.5%), <57.7> for the week, and <325.6> month to date.
