Market turnabout

This morning’s trade plan showed mostly CDM’s, although a few of them were just barely.  USDJPY and CADJPY are in a range. GBPJPY went back into a range right after I completed the trade plan.  NZDUSD is in an RBO and has not yet moved enough to establish a CDM.

Entered EURJPY and GBPUSD just before NY open on YL entries.

Took an RBO short on CADJPY, and a YL on EURUSD.

My GBPUSD trade stopped out.  Now down <10.1>

I got a spike downward in the YEN crosses, and punched out of EURJPY for +12.9 and out of CADJPY for +7.1 (exit on a burst).  Now up 10 early in the session.

Burst or no burst, it looks like it was a mistake to jump out of EURJPY. It’s down another 10-20 pips. Likewise CADJPY.  Lesson learned (maybe)!

EURUSD was racing lower, approaching my TP at 1.2320, so I pulled it down to the next level (1.2300), and set my trailing to move to BE if it gets to the original TP. It was up 20+ pips, but it has pulled back now.  Still holding.

Have added NZDUSD short on a YL, and CADJPY short on a YL.

Not making good trading decisions this morning.  EURUSD was up by 20, now up 1.4; EURJPY was up, stopped out. AUDJPY was up by 12, stopped out for <12>. Was up 40 across 4 trades – 2 of them have stopped out for -22, other 2 are down net <3>. ATM (10:06), I am down net <12>, holding EURUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, and CADJPY, currently down another <17>

CADJPY just stopped out for <12.1> Now down <24.4> and holding EURUSD (+30) AUDUSD (<6>), and NZDUSD (<2>). at 10:25.  Come on, USD strength!

Hung on, and eventually they began moving some.  I punched out after they got above my BE point and began to pull back. Left some pips on the table as AUDUSD and NZDUSD continued to fall lower, but #weneverknow!

Results for the day: 9 trades, 5 wins (2 of them >10 pips), 4 losses for +2.2 (+0.14%).

Very frustrating day.

Some mistakes –

  1. jumping out of EURJPY and CADJPY on the spike. Both went for quite a few more pips.
  2. Missing the run in the CAD
  3. Once again, jumping out to meet a goal instead of letting it develop. All three of the USD trades that I was holding at the end continued after I jumped out.
  4. Biggest – not taking the +50 when I had it.
